Klüberalfa lubricants, based on perfluorinated polyether (PFPE), have been developed for specific lifetime lubrication requirements and have a number of characteristics that make them optimally suited for such tasks.
Klüberalfa YM 3-30 has been formulated for ease of application of a thin lubricant film on electrical contacts and plug-in connectors as well as elastomer and plastic parts. The lubricant is highly resistant to ageing and is suitable for use across a wide temperature range.
Klüberalfa YM 3-30 is not flammable and resistant to most aggressive chemicals.
Klüberalfa YM 3-30 can be used for the lubrication of plug-in and sliding contacts as well as for plastic parts.
When properly applied, Klüberalfa YM 3-30 provided in a spray can

– is extremely economical in use does not require permanently installed dispensing equipment.
General behaviour towards plastics and elastomers Perfluorinated polyether oils are neutral to most elastomers and plastic materials (possible exception: fluorinated rubber).
Thanks to this neutrality, Klüberalfa YM 3-30 Spray is also suitable for use as an assembly aid in plastic-plastic material combinations.
Nevertheless, compatibility of the lubricant with the materials in contact should be verified, especially prior to series application.
For optimum results, we recommend cleaning all friction points with white spirit 180/210 and then with Klüberalfa XZ 3-1 prior to initial lubrication. Subsequently, the friction points should be dried with clean, dry compressed air or hot air to remove all solvent residues.
The friction points must be free from oil, grease, perspiration and contamination particles before initial lubrication. If the spray variant is used: Do not spray towards naked flames, incandescent or hot objects. Observe additional application notes outlined in the material safety data sheet or on the product container. Protect spray can against sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C.
