FLUOROPAN T 20 Spray is a whitish-transparent, air hardening bonded coating based on PTFE and an organic binder.
When FLUOROPAN T 20 Spray has been applied and hardened, it offers high wear resistance, a low friction coefficient and no stick slip at low speeds. Its adhesion on iron and non-ferrous metals and solvent-resistant plastics as well as wood is good.
Efficient sliding and separating agent and assembly aid, for the lubrication of wood, iron and non-ferrous metals.
Shake or stir well before use.
The product is applied by spraying. The surfaces to be coated should be cleaned and degreased to remove oil, grease, water, corrosion and scale. When applying FLUOROPAN T 20 by spraying, use a spray gun.
– Feed pressure: 2 bar
– Spraying distance: approx. 20 cm
– Spray nozzle diameter: 0.8 mm
Make sure that only compressed air is used which is free from oil and water. When spraying by hand, it is recommended to apply the product in a zig-zag pattern. When spraying systems are used, an agitator should be installed in the container to prevent the solid particles from settling. When applying the product by immersion, use containers which are resistant to solvents. The recommended film thickness for sliding loads is between 7 and 15 µm. To clean the spray gun and, if necessary, to dilute FLUOROPAN T 20, the diluting and cleaning agent SOLUTIN C 10 can be used.
The bonded coating is ready to handle after approx. 15 minutes at 20 °C or after approx. 1 minute at approx. 60 °C and hardens completely within 24 hours. All the temperatures indicated refer to the component temperature. It must not be stored in corrosive environments.
